GO Missions is a practical, hands on ministry that responds to critical building needs in the Philippines.

Due to harsh conditions or natural disasters, basic infrastructure can be significantly damaged or in a considerable state of disrepair. We provide our building knowledge and experience to organise projects and teach skills to local people to provide easy to maintain and resilient building, repair and maintenance work.

This work enables local missionaries to focus on establishing relationships, learning the language, teaching the gospel and making disciples.

Part of our ministry includes upskilling and training the local people in maintenance and repairs and we have applied our efforts to mission houses, missionary training centres, churches, community buildings, roads, bridges, helicopter hangers and other areas where there is need.

ABOUT

Anthony “Tosh” Clegg

I love the Lord, I love people and I love getting things done. It was laid on my heart in 2000 to go to the Philippines and use my skills to provide housing for missionaries. My first short term mission trip was on Palawan Island in a township called Roxas. We repaired an existing house with a team of 13 people from New Zealand. The purpose of this project was to create a base for new missionaries to live in as they waited for living arrangements to be prepared in the tribes they would serve in.

PRAYER
Prayer partners are key as we believe that prayer activates things we cannot see and opens doors to follow however the Spirit leads.

PEOPLE AND SKILLS
We are looking for people or groups interested in joining us on trips. Skilled labour is always appreciated but anyone willing to work hard will make a significant difference. Cooks are also greatly valued!

TOOLS
Tools are essential on all of our trips. All tools donated are used only for these trips and are often left with the local people as part of equipping them to undertake maintenance and repairs for themselves.

Projects and Trips

In August of 2000 I went on a reconnaissance trip to Manilla to meet with local leaders and understand their needs. This led to the creation of short-term missions trips to support building projects and we have been taking groups ever since.

RECENT TRIPS

July 2019 - A small group of 12 mixed ages from 18 - 60 years of age to upgrade missionary training in Bataan, as well as a food delivery into a remote village located in Zambales.

UPCOMING TRIPS

Due to Covid we are unable to travel to take small groups, but we are continuing to support financially and prayer.

See our support page if you would like to contribute to the ongoing food programme and other needs that may arise.

RECENT PROJECT

We are privileged to be able to financially and prayerfully be apart of a recent food pack and delivery to village located in Zambales, Philippines. This is organised through our friend Ps Jerry from Iram Christian Fellowship Church.

The people in the village and children were so happy to receive this food. The food parcel contains rice soup, chicken and eggs. The truck containing the supplies could not reach the village, so they walked and open cycled to transport the food.

It was exciting and a challenging time, but so worth seeing the excitement on the peoples faces.

Testimonies

“The facilities have deteriorated or have never been completed because of lack of finances for building construction and appropriate maintenance. Previous efforts have not met the critical and urgent building needs and have fell short of achieving the larger vision for the property.”

— Quote from ROC Ministries currently operating in the Philippines

“We are very thankful for all the work that has been accomplished by the New Zealand team and even more thankful that the team was able to return home safely, in good health and encouraged in the Lord and in what He is doing in other areas of the world. Their hearts have been greatly challenged by their project experience in the Philippines. The team project ROOF IS FINISHED, the TOP FLOOR OF "TO GOD BE THE GLORY" building is now FULLY PAINTED, and additional finance has been donated towards the COMPLETION of the BRIDGE. Thank You Lord!”
