I love the Lord, I love people and I love getting things done. It was laid on my heart in 2000 to go to the Philippines and use my skills to provide housing for missionaries. My first short term mission trip was on Palawan Island in a township called Roxas. We repaired an existing house with a team of 13 people from New Zealand. The purpose of this project was to create a base for new missionaries to live in as they waited for living arrangements to be prepared in the tribes they would serve in. We had carpenters, drainlayer, plumbers, electricians and willing labourers who could do painting, roofing and digging wells. We also had the opportunity to work alongside Filipino labourers and teach them practical skills whilst also sharing the love of God.

I have been a builder from the age of 16 and want to use the skills and knowhow I have been blessed with for the benefit of the Kingdom. Being obedient to Gods call has taken me to places that I could never have imagined. I have been challenged, stretched and blessed as I have helped with building projects all over the Philippines for the last 20 years.

I am known as a doer, I find solutions and overcome barriers. I am passionate about being a catalyst and activating others to join in and make things happen. I have seen many people extend themselves and get out of their comfort zone on many trips and although we are transforming lives, we can’t help but be transformed at the same time.

Certain scripture has spoken to me during my trips and has reminded me that we must abide, commune and walk closely with Jesus every day. There is a battle being fought over souls and I feel called to GO and “get on with it” as I have been instructed by the Lord. It’s not what we can do for Him but letting the life of the vine flow through us, then we [the branches] will produce fruit. We are not sufficient in ourselves, but our sufficiency is from Him.

John 15:4 says Abide in me, [Jesus] and I in you. As the branch [us] cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine [Jesus], neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; [Jesus] you are the branches [us]. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me [Jesus] you can do nothing. [It is the branches that bear the fruit, not the vine]. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit [Fulfilling Gods purpose] and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

By investing in the Lords Kingdom we are making provision to build lives that will last for eternity. There is no better investment than those that yield eternal dividends.

1 Corinthians 4:7 says that Neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labour, For we are Gods fellow workers. You are Gods field, Gods building.

I have a burden to take His Good News to the nations and will be obedient to this call, not being distracted or passive but regardless of the cost heeding His call to GO.

Galatians 6:9 says Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
